Three-and-a-half or four-and-a-half days of instruction! Kayak Immersion:

Have you ever dreamed about the endless summer? Surfing waves and playing all day? Immerse yourself in kayaking and feel the long-lasting results from a Kayak Immersion class!

This is the class for you! Immerse yourself in whitewater kayaking and feel the tremendous results. The first half day of instruction takes place on Lake Siskiyou at the foot of Mount Shasta. Here we solidify basic skills and prepare for subsequent exciting days on the river! This experience will leave you excited and energized about whitewater kayaking! You will learn all the steps to execute the kayak roll in this class and have lots of practice time. You will learn paddle strokes and concepts used by the pros that will allow you to have maximum fun on the river! The paddle strokes you will learn are powerful skills that you can use anywhere from class II whitewater, or once perfected and practiced in easier whitewater, extreme class V. These are exciting classes for the beginner who is eager to learn, or the rusty paddler.

On the three-and-a-half day you will have time to perfect the strokes learned on the first two days using them in a variety of whitewater. This will give you the chance to really enjoy what you have learned! You will become better at edge control while getting in and out of eddies and ferrying your boat in current. Reading rapids will become more familiar, and river safety skills will be taught also. We start you off in your comfort zone on day one and teach progressions from there. While giving you what you want, we'll slip in a little of what you need along the way, too!

The four-and-a-half day class takes you to new levels in comfort on the river! Your paddle strokes will become refined and much more effective by day four. This equals lots of smiles and excitement! The new craze in kayaking is play boating. On the fourth day play boating skills will be taught from the basics to getting your boat vertical on that extra day. Surfing waves is what most kayakers dream of! The four-and-a-half day immersion will take you to the fun zone with comfort and ease!
